Admission is all a matter of getting the moneyJan 03 2007Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
Admission is all a matter of getting the money together. ANYBODY can show up at this school, from passionate minds who've never picked up a pencil to egotistical artistic geniuses, and you're going to meet alot of people in between those extremes. Good self-discipline is the most important part of success at SCAD, getting your work done takes alot of time and don't expect to come to this school and have a swinging social life. If you can stand long lonely hours slaving over projects and occational small get-togethers with friends, you just might make it in this college.
SAT: 1580 Male
Almost nothingNov 15 2006Undecided
Almost nothing. You dont even need to send in a portfolio, which should be something of a warning sign.
SAT: 1170 Female
The entry may have become tougher but it seemsOct 05 2006Architecture
The entry may have become tougher but it seems as long as your able to get the loans your accepted.
I got a scholarship from the scholastics art andJun 27 2006Art & Design Department
i got a scholarship from the scholastics art and writing competition so i applied and got in.
SAT: 1110 Female
Applied, had a decent SAT score (just break 1000),May 18 2006Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
Applied, had a decent SAT score (just break 1000), and most important to the school, have $$$$. No portfolio required.

P.S. Don't beleive the brochures. Go visit, see the town and if you can, go out with a few students. Maybe it's the place for you. I put what I put here, because I felt like I was really mislead by the college, not because I think Scad isn't the right school for anybody. I still have friends who loved it. I came from the southfork of Long Island, so needless to say, I was used to somewhat higher standards of socializing and ...well cleanliness, and un-fried food......
